Changes to Taylor Timber Mart’s Operations in Response to COVID-19 Health Crisis
In response to the COVID-19 virus spread in Nova Scotia, Taylor Timber Mart is adopting the following policies as of March 23, 2020, on a temporary basis, for the protection of our employees and customers and to supplement the sterilization program currently in effect at the store. Changes include:
- Our store closing hours are changed to at 5PM versus 6PM normally.
- Social distancing policies will be tightened such that we will restrict the number of customers in the store at any given time to 20 maximum. No browsing will be permitted, so we would request customers to know what they want before entering the store – if you don’t know the location of the product in the store, an employee will assist you in locating it.
-We are allowing customers to go into the warehouse to get their items, but there will be no load tickets given, instead once your order is processed we will then let the warehouse know you are coming and they will print the load ticket from their computer.
- Deliveries will be dropped off at the “curb” so our employees are not entering a customer’s space
Taylor Timber Mart is grateful for our customers and the on-going support received from the communities in the Musquodoboit Harbour area. We are committed to keeping the store open to support our contractors so they can continue to operate their job sites and pay their employees, and to our retail customers who depend on our store as a source of many consumer staple products.
It’s a fluid situation, so further changes may have to be made going forward as we get more information and clarity on the virus.
